A natural color painting illustrating the three significant characters from India’s one of the most well-known mythological stories, The Ramayana, Ram, Sita, and Lakshman are well portrayed through the natural colors over the paper in a duotone texture. Ramayana is a Sanskrit epic, of the ancient days that narrates how prince Rama rescues his wife Sita from the evil clutches of Ravana with the help of a troop of monkeys. This epic was known to be written by the sage Valmiki and was dated around 500 BCE to 100 BCE. In a short note, the story portrays how ram is sent to exile by his stepmother after he won the hands of a beautiful princess Sita. And so after the marriage ram and sita went on an exile where Lakshman accompanied them. In the woods, Sita was abducted by Ravana after Lakshman chopped off his sister’s nose. Ram assembled the monkeys and went in search of his wife Sita and after the allies attacked Lanka, ram rescued her after that Sita has to entire fire just to prove her sanity but was restored by her husband later.
